The .NET development tool with automatic program code generation “esFoundation/.NET V3.2”On sale from 10/22

Web systems developer ECOSS Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Chihiro Tsuyuki) will begin sale of its Web application development tool “esFoundation/.NET V3.2” on October 22nd, for both BtoB and BtoC use nationwide.
“esFoundation/.NET V3.2“ allows developers to create software for use on an intranet, as well as software for embedded devices smoothly and efficienctly, even for developers with minimal experience. The developer tool can also be used to create E-commerce sites that can handle 5 million page views per day.

The current version of this product, “ECOSS Solutions M3“, has been tested in the market for many years, and has received praise for its implementation in the finance, distribution, and communications industries.

The key feature of this tool is the “Code Generator“ functionality, which allows automatic generation of source code directly from design specification documents. Application specifications can be created in Excel, and Source code such as C#, Visual Basic.NET can be created automatically, from application specifications written in Excel.

The Three Merits of “Code Generator“

1) Decrease system development time
Because program code is created directly from specifications, an image close to that of a live system can be drawn up at the early stages of a project. As a result, the length of time needed for testing and prototype verification can be decreased. Site user interface and Email content templates are also included, so that developers do not need to create everything from scratch.
2) High quality program code with minimal human error
The larger the scope of a project, the higher number of individuals involved, increasing the margin for variances in quality. Because source code is generated automatically, quality is preserved uniformly throughout the project. Careless mistakes due to human error are also avoided.
3) Changes in specifications can be reflected immediately
When revisions in specifications are made, such as data field or interface changes, which can be made simply by changing the definitions, without the need to reexamine specifications or develop new libraries.

Improve productivity and cost performance

Based on the three merits explained above, development productivity can be improved, and costs can be decreased. The larger a project becomes, the greater the benefits in efficiency. In a comparison conducted on internal projects, projects with 30 million yen budgets were cut by approximately 50 percent.

Multiplatform compatibility

esFoundation is compatible with the Windows operating system, and databases such as ORACLE and MS SQL.
