On December 11, 2006, software developer ECOSS Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo, President: Chihiro Tsuyuki) has released “M3 Blog Service Release 1”, the latest version of its blog system “ECOSS Solutions M3 Blog” (M3 Blog), which allows document sharing and blog entry posting directly from Microsoft® Office products.
For M3 Blog Service Release 1, we have expanded its functionality in response to customer requests. In addition to M3 Blog’s ability to post blog entries directly from Microsoft Office products, we have added the functionality to upload Office files to the blog, which is targeted at business users. Meeting minutes, daily and weekly reports, and internal memos created Word, Excel®, and PowerPoint can be posted as a blog entry from each respective application, and at the same time these files can be shared via the blog.
In addition to its Microsoft Office file sharing functionality, M3 Blog Service Release 1 includes other enhancements such as conversion support for industry-standard designs, and data import/export functionality for administrator use. The M3 Blog lineup consists of “Enterprise Edition”, for corporate intranets, and “Community Edition”, for a single department within a company. “Personal Edition” is also available for non-commercial, individual use, and can be downloaded from our official M3 Blog Website (http://m3blog.jp).
M3 Blog is a blog system compatible with Microsoft Office products, which allows the posting of blog entries directly from Office applications. For example, documents can be created using familiar applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and posted directly to the blog.
By installing the M3 Blog Microsoft Office add-in, a [Post Blog Entry] button will be added to the tool bars of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
